Time Well Spent -  Cindy Rube
At least three deeply felt learnings from this program:
1.     I have gained knowledge to become a better educational professional and on-going learner!
2.     I have gained life-long friends and an amazing Community of Practice!
3.     I have gained the resources and confidence to be a leader and advocate in the field of early childhood education!
At least one long-term goal:
I want to become a leader in the field of early education field and an advocate for my children in my community.
A farewell message to your Instructor and colleagues:
There are not enough words to thank my colleagues and Dr. Teri for all of your support, feedback, and friendship.  Our discussion groups were so helpful and informative.  These exchanges were my favorite part of my Walden experience.  I gained new insights about our profession and myself personally.  I have made life-long friendships and contacts that I am truly grateful to have in my life.  I wish everyone best wishes and many blessings for the future!  Cindy Rube J

  1. Cindy,

It has been an awesome journey thanks to peers like you. You are definitely part of my community of practice. I cannot think you enough for your inspiration and encouragement. Your passion was on display every week and you made those around you better professionals. I know that you will be a bright light for the ECE community, as you leave your mark. I love the quote and know that you will make it part of every aspect of your professional life, preparing children for lifelong learning and teaching families to advocate for their children and communities.

All the best to you and keep in touch 973-669-3181. LisaMartin310@aol.com

  2. I love that quote! I actually have it framed in my bedroom. We have made personal and professional relationships throughout our coursework! I wish you all the best in your early childhood endeavors. I think it would be great for us to cross paths in a professional development class or something in the future. You know that have cruises and long weekend getaways now! I am in! Take care!

  3. Cindy,

This is one of my favorite quotes. The first time I read it was within a course here at Walden. I did not think of the quote in reference to myself and the experiences I was having at Walden. Now I see this quote in a different light. Through being involved in weekly discussions with others I learned so much. That time will be missed. Best wishes in along your professional journey.

  4. Cindy-
Thank you for your continued support throughout both this course and the one prior to this one! Thank you for your positive, upbeat attitude and your helpful words of wisdom. It's evident how big your heart is and how deeply you care children. All the best to you and maybe we will meet up at graduation! It would be great to meet you in person!

  5. Dear Cindy,
I appreciate our time together in the course. You are one of those special people that contributed to my learning. Your contributions and discussions were inspiring to me and I gained so much from your professional insight. I will miss those times. You have all it takes to be the leader you would like to be and I wish you success. Go on, take the challenge and make that desired positive social change. May the grace of God be with you.

Thank you so much for all your support and insights throughout this course! I really enjoyed getting to know more about you through your discussion and blog postings. I am sure that you are an amazing teacher and all your students and those around you are blessed to have you in their lives.

Thank you for sharing the Benjamin Franklin quote as that is one I am sure I have had but I need to remember in my everyday life.

Best of luck in all that you do!
